Startup El Dorado County Launches
Last December , El Dorado County announced that they would offer up to $50,000 as a scholarship to cover the expenses of local businesses participating in local incubator and accelerator programs. However, to qualify for this scholarship, the businesses must fulfill application criteria and commit to stay in the county for a minimum of three years.
This coming Wednesday marks the official inauguration of Startup El Dorado County, an initiative which underscores the importance of community and collaboration in creating a successful company. The Growth Factory, an enthusiastic partner in this project, will be working alongside El Dorado County to seek out, financially support, mentor, and help expand the reach of budding local startups.
The public is invited to the launch of Startup El Dorado County at the El Dorado Hills Town Center to get acquainted with and learn more about the local entrepreneurs, while networking with local angel investors, and civic and business leaders keen on supporting these startups. Brickyard Counter & Bar will provide food, drinks, and music for the event.
Personally, I am thrilled about the accelerator program which is not far from Folsom and provides financing opportunities. I am optimistic that in due course, the City of Folsom will also initiate a similar program in our city.
