Four Companies Selected as Finalists for 2023 Capitalize: Technology Competition
The 2023 Kings Capitalize: Technology competition has narrowed down to the final four companies. The contest was presented by Dialpad and the City of Sacramento's Office of Innovation and Economic Development. The Sacramento Kings hosted Pitch Day at Golden 1 Center where the top eight companies presented their ideas to a panel of successful entrepreneurs, executives, and investors.
The Finalists
After much deliberation, the panel selected the following four finalists to continue in the competition:
3D Organic Polymer Silk, a Davis-based company that uses spider silk as glue for medical purposes
AppOrchid, a San Ramon and Folsom-based company that uses AI and machine learning to build apps for enterprise energy and utility customers
Ravata Solutions, a Davis-based company with technology to improve in vitro fertilization success
Shared Vision, a Rocklin-based company that offers online affiliate link marketing management
Voting Process
Starting March 6 at 3 p.m., fans can visit Kings.com/Capitalize to view the pitch videos and vote for their favorite company until halftime of the Kings game on March 24. Judges' and fan votes will be tallied to determine the 2023 Capitalize: Technology winner. The winner will be announced during the game and will receive a $10,000 cash prize towards the development of their startup and three years of access to Dialpad communication services.
Fans can vote daily on social media, but they can only vote for one finalist per day. Retweets will not be counted as votes.
